In addition to opening up the pelvic region , Patangasana helps to activate the very base of the spine which in turn enhances and regulate the activity of the brain.

It loosens up the limbs in such a way that you are able to sit comfortably in a cross-legged posture.

Bring the heels as close to the perinium as is comfortable for you. If the heels are not that close to the body it will be difficult to keep the spine straight and not lean forward.

Ensure you are doing the movement gently , not rapidly or with a jerk.

Nadi-Shuddhi, Nada-Yoga, Aum chanting should be practiced in Vajarasana.

Women during pregnancy may find it difficult to hold the breath than it would be at  other times. Ensure to insist they do not hold it beyond a point of comfort. Nadi shuddhi with Kumbhaka is only to be done for pregnant wmen.

A pregnant women can consume one handful of sprouted green grams and two teaspoons of honey mixed together every day on an empty stomach .After that don’t eat anything for the next 1.5-2 hours.This will purify the blood which is very beneficial for the development of the child.
