Surya Shakti
Surya Shakti is to energize the system to a different dimension. This 18 step process helps to strengthens the ligaments that holds the skeletal and muscular structure together.
Surya means “Sun” and Shakti means “Energy”. Surya Shakti is a complete process , which is largely physical in nature. If you do 108 cycles of Surya Shakti , it will make you fit and you will not need any other form of exercise
Surya Shakti builds the physical body-it makes the sinews and ligaments of your body strong. In Yoga , we give importance to the sinews that holds the skeletal system and the whole body together. When we do any yogic practice, which is physical in nature, the focus is mainly to strengthen those, not to pump up your muscles. Strenghthening the sinews of the body is what will endure for a long time and keep you well. Surya Shakti does this in a tremendous way.
When we say Surya, we are talking about the Sun which is the basic power house of the planet .Life on the planet is solar powered, including human system. Surya Shakti is a way of using that energy. It does wonders for your health, as well as your physical & mental well-being.

Frequently asked questions
No. Samasthiti is the first posture in each cycle of Surya Shakti , so when doing multiple cycles, you must end each cycle in Namaskar, then exhale and come into Samasthiti to start the next cycle.
It is best to do all cycles at a pace that is comfortable for you and at a pace where you can do multiple cycles back to back without breathing or resting in between.
However if you find at some point you need to take a breath or rest, you can pause for sometime in between cycles and then continue. Ensure you continue to stand or do not lie down or rest in shavasana.
Before trying to reach 108, first focus on incorporating the corrections and doing the practice properly and with precision. You should never increase the number of cycles you are practicing quickly, taking into consideration your condition and fitness level. Even if you are fit, it should always be increased slowly over a prolonged period of time to ensure you do not do more than your capacity or cause injury. You can practice a certain number of cycles for several days or even weeks, ensuring that you are comfortable with practicing that number of cycle before attempting to go to the next number.
Yoga is powerful and should be done with awareness and attention, not just for the sake of reaching a goal.
When you are comfortable doing 108 cycles, you can practice more than 108 Surya Shakti cycles by increasing the count by 2 a week.
